Humans can survive weeks without food, days without water, yet only minutes without oxygen. Yet somehow this invisible, odourless gas, which makes up ~21% of our atmosphere is often overlooked when addressing health needs for an individual’s recovery or attainment of optimum wellbeing.
There is increasing (scientific and clinical) evidence that many diseases and even the ‘natural’ process of ageing are related, at least in part, to inadequate or inefficient cellular oxygenation. Oxygen is required within the body for a whole host of essential processes and functions for healthy living – and of course, optimising these processes and functions can help an individual move further towards optimum health.
Although it is possible for cells to produce energy in the absence of oxygen, the most efficient method of energy production (also known as ‘cellular respiration’) involves sufficient oxygen (making it an ‘aerobic’ process) – which can produce nineteen times the amount of energy compared to the no-oxygen method (‘anaerobic’ process).
Therefore, at a basic level it is obvious that ensuring optimal availability of useable oxygen is important to optimise energy production.
Oxygen is not only key to energy production – it is also an essential component, in its different forms, of the body’s detoxification system (through the process of ‘oxidation’ of toxins into harmless basic elements), the immune system (for example, as the superoxide ion used by immune cells to fight invading pathogens), the optimal absorption and assimilation of nutrients from digestion in the gut, as well as the body’s own self-healing mechanism through the ‘oxidative response’. For recovery from any illness and movement towards truly optimum health, we really need to optimise the amount and quality (i.e. how available it is) of the oxygen we inhale, transport around our body and provide to our cells!
The cells-through its mitochondria produce Adenosine Tri Phosphate molecules (ATP). ATP is the energy found in all living things. Where the mitochondria are the power plants, the ATP is the batteries.
ATP is essential for storing and transporting the energy needed for the cells to carry out all life supporting functions including cell repair, protein synthesis, muscle movement and nerve signal transmission- all essential to keeping the body healthy and functioning.
The process by which ATP is produced is universal. Plants produce ATP by using the Oxygen and energy (light photons) in sunlight, that is through photosynthesis. Humans and animals produce ATP through sunlight directly and through the energy (light) in which we breathe, drink and eat, Leading medical experts now claim that low ATP can be the main cause of many of our health problems.
Next to the photosynthesis there is a less familiar process called photosensitisation, in which sunlight, oxygen and chlorophyll produce singlet oxygen energy (SOE).
SOE is an unstable oxygen molecule with higher energy content. Singlet oxygen is returning almost immediately to its original state during the time it emits energy in the form of photons (light energy).
When plants are given water enriched with SOE they grow stronger with bigger root systems. We have seen that if these plants are exposed to drought they survive longer than plants receiving regular water.

Using VALKION
Inhaling SOE energised air may cause a powerful detoxification process for people with decreased immune system. Therefore inhalation sessions should be individualised.
Most beginners should start with only a couple of minutes.
Drinking SOE energised water in conjunction with inhaling SOE energised air increases the benefits. Whether you have customised treatment sessions or decide to purchase a machine yourself,
VALKION energised water will be supplied with your treatment or the water energising adaptor, dehumidifier bottle and bottle holder is supplied with all VALKION devices purchased or rented.
During treatment a nasal cannula is placed under the nose and the small nasal prongs are placed into your nostrils with the slim plastic hose placed around the back of your ears, like putting on a pair of glasses, once you are comfortable the machine can be switched on, your breathing should remain as normal as you carry out your treatment session.
Inhaling Singlet Oxygen Energy (SOE)
The length of an inhalation period varies between individuals. Healthy persons may use VALKION for fifteen minutes at a time. For some beginners, however, a first inhalation period of fifteen minutes can be to long and therefore we recommend a start of a maximum five minutes these will usually be given free within one of our treatment packages.
Should you feel unwell we recommend that you decrease the length of your inhalation periods.

In terms of interactions with other treatments or medications, there are no known adverse interactions with Activated Oxygen Therapy. Over time, many users report being able to gradually reduce medications they are taking, as the body seems to get more efficient at balancing itself. (NB We never recommend stopping or reducing any prescribed medication without consultation with your prescribing physician).
Regarding ‘side effects’, there are no real side effects of the actual therapy. Some users, however, do describe some temporary discomfort when they first start using the Activated Oxygen Therapy – this can range from ‘muzzy headed’ feelings or slight nausea, to increased mucus or phlegm production (which is believed to be a part of the body’s clearing and healing process) or change of bowel habits and tiredness.
In order to minimise and avoid these temporary ‘healing reactions’, we always advise building up Activated Oxygen Therapy usage gradually.
Usually such side effects occur within the first week of treatment, but have also been known to occur at later stages. Some experience no negative reactions, and immediately feel better and more energised.
Drinking two to three litres of distilled or pure water helps to manage and support the effects normally experienced when using the VALKION AIR.
